About Dylan J. Meier
Dylan J. Meier is a complex commercial litigator who represents clients in high-stakes disputes and regulatory matters across the banking, insurance, technology, media, and entertainment sectors. He has represented corporations, boards of directors, and individual executives in state and federal court, in arbitration, and related to federal and state investigations.
Dylan advises clients throughout all stages of a dispute, from pre-litigation counseling through appeal. His experience includes drafting motions and briefs, managing discovery, preparing witnesses, conducting depositions, managing multi-defendant proceedings, and preparing matters for trial, arbitration, or mediation. He has also represented clients in both internal and government investigations involving the U.S. Department of Justice, Securities and Exchange Commission, Federal Trade Commission, and state attorneys general. He brings a strategic, business-minded approach to matters that may present overlapping litigation, regulatory, and reputational risks.
Dylan also maintains an active pro bono practice. He has secured favorable outcomes for victims of fraudulent inducement and domestic violence and counsels for individuals experiencing homelessness confronting significant legal and personal challenges.
Dylan earned a Juris Doctor from the University of Virginia School of Law. During law school, Dylan served on the Editorial Board of the Virginia Law & Business Review, was elected Chief Research Officer of Rivanna Investments, and subsequently Chief Investment Officer, and was a member of several additional student groups. Prior to attending Virginia, Dylan played ice hockey for Augsburg College and earned a B.A. in Finance, Economics, and Management, summa cum laude.
Before joining Miller Miller Gerber, Dylan began his career as a white collar, securities, and complex commercial litigation associate in the Los Angeles office of the law firm Latham & Watkins LLP, later joining the law firm Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP as a litigation associate.
Outside of his legal practice, Dylan is a lifelong Colorado Avalanche fan, an avid golfer, and animal lover. Dylan also operates Blessed by Tammy, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, that he started with his dad and brother to support individuals fighting cancer and families in need of guidance.
