Scott D. Miller

A seasoned trial lawyer with more than three decades of courtroom experience, Scott D. Miller has built his reputation on delivering practical, results-driven representation in high-stakes litigation and arbitration matters.

Scott’s practice focuses on the defense of complex civil litigation, including personal injury matters, catastrophic loss claims, premises liability, municipal liability, subrogation actions, and other disputes involving significant financial exposure. Throughout his career, he has represented self-insured businesses, insurance carriers, rental car companies, and public entities in state and federal courts, arbitrations, and alternative dispute resolution proceedings.

Scott has extensive experience defending businesses, self-insured entities, and insurance carriers in a broad range of litigation matters. He has represented various rental car companies for more than thirty years and has successfully handled countless claims involving personal injury, property damage, premises liability, transportation-related losses, and commercial disputes.

He also has significant experience representing municipal entities in matters involving wrongful arrest, excessive force, and other public entity liability claims. In addition, Scott has represented insurers and self-insured businesses in complex subrogation matters, helping clients recover losses and manage litigation risk.

Scott began his legal career at prominent Southern California litigation firms before becoming a partner at Chace Rochford Drukker & Bogust and later at Goldstein Gurvitz Marlowe & Miller. He subsequently founded the Law Offices of Scott D. Miller, which ultimately evolved into Miller Miller Gerber LLP.

Scott earned his Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, from the University of Southern California and his Juris Doctor from the University of California, Los Angeles School of Law.

Outside of his practice, Scott is actively involved in the community through the Jewish Federation of Orange County. He is a member of the Solomon Society and serves on the Federation’s Grants and Allocations Committee, helping support charitable initiatives throughout the community.
