Douglas Delanoy

Doug Delanoy brings the perspective and experience from owning and managing a retail travel business for over two decades to his legal work for our clients. He understands that when he is providing legal advice to a business client, the best result for a company is often a commercial solution instead of a legal one.

For Doug, understanding the needs of the client and the broader operational or commercial context of any matter that may arise is always vital to delivering practical, effective legal service. His legal experience includes a broad range of clientele, from sole proprietors to local family businesses to national and international manufacturing and service companies. Much of that experience has been operating in an ‘outsourced’ counsel role for those clients.

While he sold his travel company in 2010, Doug’s passion for travel and the travel industry has never waned. He continues to be involved in the industry and his travel business clientele value his distinct understanding of their unique market challenges and operational requirements.

Doug grew up in Orange County and lived in Southern California until he moved to Australia in 2011 where he received his law degree and joined a boutique commercial law firm in Melbourne shortly after becoming a qualified lawyer in 2014. He continues to be licensed to practice in Australia.
